Yes, it is true Virginia, there really is a way to do business from across the globe. Technology has caught up with a great deal of business desires including the need to meet without the gloom of hotels, rental cars and fast food restaurants. Okay, so you still have to contend with your own fast food issues, but it is very clear that technology has now afforded us the ability to do business differently than in the past.
Let's look at our progression. As business people (and I only include myself as I have colleagues old enough to remember) we started off using business machines in the early 1970's. These consisted of "dumb terminals' that were connected to a mainframe. By the mid 1980's IBM & Microsoft had developed the PC that moved away from a DOS interface to a Windows interface in what seems like a blink of an eye, and changed the way any business did... well.... business.
Throughout the 1980's there was an explosion of innovation(s) to help business do tasks with greater ease more efficientcy. Then in the early 1990's, we were thrust into the World Wide Web where you can gather information in an instant and everything seems to move at light speed. Now I am not intending this to sound like it happened overnight as the 'Internet' was in various node form all the way back to the late 1950's... In fact it was 1957, or 52 years ago to be exact, when we moved away from 'batch processing'.
If you want to know more, here is a great YouTube video about how it all began:

That said, fast forward to today and the topic I started with... Video Conferencing.
VC is a highly effective medium, both in cost and productivity, for announcements, training, meetings, project management, and even recruitment. Why? Well because it takes a fraction of the time and expense involved in sending the participants to a single meeting location.

So you cannot afford the 1/3 of a million dollars for the Halo system? Or even the $80K for the Cisco system? Don't worry there is a tailored solution for you.
I just happen to know of a company that specializes in custom solutions and prides itself on the high level of customer service that should be standard, but sadly is missing from the mix at a lot of companies claiming to specialize in conferencing.
It will not cost you anything to call and set up an appointment to talk to Momentum's VC specialist ( Direct: 604-630-8338 866-734-1959 ); Or to go by their website ( http://www.momentumconferencing.com/ ) to check out all of the services offered.

See you next time!
